He's Walking!

His first laugh, first tooth, he crawled and now he's walking! Our little boy is growing up so fast!

Here he is in starting position. He did this for months.

Acalias thinks that he should get to wear his dads tie when he gets home from work.
He was in such a goofy mood during this pictures.

Once he gets on his feet, he would laugh so hysterically that he couldn't walk more than a couple steps.
We've been keeping ourselves busy. I typically cross train a couple days a week with the bike and trailer while Acalias naps. The bike trail has a park and Acalias loves the swings.
We also took him to the pool and it was a hit! Now we go twice a week.
Derek made this face to Acalias and now it's his go to face whenever he's intrigued by something. He has a tag from one of the beach towels, it kept him occupied as we packed up to head back home.
He's being flirtatious in these pics, he loves to get attention from anyone. Can you tell, he caught someones eye in this picture?

Gemini Family

This is month is special because each member in our family has a birthday in June (including skofeild)!
We also celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary!!

Derek had been studying 24/7 preparing for COMLEX, I wasn't expecting much but he surprised with what he knew I would appreciate most which was some time with him. We spend the majority of the day at the Greenbrier river trail, which made me so happy. I've spent many hours on that trail training for races or just unwinding after a hectic day, I'm definitely going to miss it once we move to Clarksburg.
Thanks for the bike trailer tio Simi!

Acalias loved his new trailer, he relaxed while Derek, Skofield and I strolled down the river trail.
(Please excuse the helmet head hair.)

Acalias giving mommy ambrazos (hugs). He has been responding to few Spanish phrases that I've been repeatedly using. I really hope that he will love the Spanish language as much as his momma does.
He's not a big fan of looking at the camera, can you tell?

This was the best we could do:)

He love's his daddy.

On Derek's birthday, I surprised him with a little too much for the reserved man that he is.

Derek doesn't like any unnecessary attention drawn toward him...at all, me neither but I had to do it!

You only turn 30 once!
He thought the car was mortifying?...He forgot that we live in the The coolest small town in America!

I think, my insistence in him standing by the billboard was the most embarrassing, but he did it because he knew I had to blog about this.

It's crazy to think that my husband is 30...and I will be 30 next year...eeek! We had a small celebration at home, with one of our favorite desserts.

Yum!
We were moving on Acalias' actual birthday, June 25th. Once we got somewhat settled in our new home we had a mini celebration with him.
Excuse the open cupboard...oops.
He loves to share his treats.

Skofeild had a little piece of cake too, he's 3 years old now!

Here is one of our engagement pictures.
Don't we look so young? My husband especially.
I love this guy!

It's amazing how one decision can determine a lot in your life.
He makes me happy, I couldn't ask for a better husband and father to our son.

 Happy 4th Anniversary honey!

He's ONE!

He's curious. He's independent. He's silly. He's ONE!

Utah

Mom gave us a buddy pass for a weekend trip to Utah. We were so excited to see our family and meet our newest nephew/cousin Zachary.
Derek asked me to snap a picture of the mountains for him, we love hiking & camping in them.
Acalias meeting his cousin Zachary.

Grandpa Garn has been working on this playhouse for several years. It has sentimental value because the walls are built with the dance floors he had built for our wedding. The play house is equipped with part wood part carpet floors, cabinets, electricity (indoor and outdoor lights), windows and furniture. Each time I've visited, grandpa has added something new to the house, this time it was a sandbox underneath the house. He informed me that next time, he will have running water. I would have loved to have something like that as a child, the kids seem to have so much fun with it.
Visiting with uncle Damion
Such a cutie.

We watched Braxten show off his soccer skills, he is such a little athlete.
One of the risks of flying on buddy pass is getting bumped off your flight. I was bumped three times but I was happy to spend more time with my family. My nephews were excited whenever they would return home from school and see that we missed our flight. Thanks Simi, for being my personal taxi back and forth to the airport, I owe you!
Visiting Grandma Mele's grave.
The super model.

Loni Baloni, the youngest member in our family. I can't believe she's going to be 16 this year, I still haven't let my other sisters drive while I'm in the car. I still see them all as my baby sisters.

Janelle and her girls. We served in Oakland together, we have so many great memories out in the mission field together. It was so nice to visit with her and meet her newest addition Eloise. Love you Janelle!
Acalias had so much fun with his cousins, by the end of the trip he could say "Zai zai", short for my youngest nephew Isaiah.

Audric's graduation, they sang Acalias' favorite nursery songs can you tell by his grin?
We miss you guys, can't wait for our next visit.
