Acceptance Party #2

Since Derek got accepted to Med School we have been so excited. We had a little party with my family this past weekend to celebrate. I've never really had a party at my apartment because its so small but I had one anyway. I figure one of these days I'll have a spacious home and we can have something to reminisce about...our humble beginnings in a 700 sq foot apartment.

I have a ton of cousins, so many that I really don't keep tabs on most of the distant ones. My mother was always close to her brother Seleti so naturally we were close to his 6 children. We spent nearly every weekend at their home and we have so many childhood memories together. The sounds of Bob Marley's "Buffalo Soldier" and the bland taste of boiled chicken, potatoes and mayonnaise (the Tongan condiment for every dish)remind me of the good ole times. It's fun to get together because we each remember different events. Last night we had a blast talking about the past. We concluded that Simi was the mischievous leader of all the ridiculous situations we got ourselves into. We laughed and laughed at some of the things we remember and embarrassed at some of the things that we regret doing.

The future Doctor Rodeback. When I made the cupcakes, I had left over blue marzipan Derek suggested that I make Viagra. It's a bit far but the pills on the cupcake are Viagra

The kids had a great time playing with one another.

Last but not least, I finally got to meet the new edition to the Fevaleaki family. This is little L.J isn't he so cute? These cute little kids make me excited to have children of my own.

Thanks everyone for all the yummy food that you brought. We should do this more often so that our children can have the same fun experience we had (minus all the craziness of course).

I would say the highlight of the party was laughing about the good ole days...There was never a dole moment! I hope we can all stay close like our childhood days....

Simi, I would say that the highlight of the party was the dog unexpectedly scaring you! Lisiate and I laughed about that all night! Can't wait to reminisce about that one!

I had soooo much fun!!! I would have to agree with Cherise on the real highlight of the evening!!! Man I'm still crackin up about that! My face is still a bit numb from laughing so hard. But I had sooo much fun. It was nice because it felt like we were "best cousins" again. LOL. We should do more especially because you're leaving soon.
